Last month, we were proud to be a family fun and safety day sponsor of the 57th year of Millard Days! We had so much fun in the parade. It was great to see so many people out enjoying the day and the awesome floats.
Our family fun tent had activities for the kids including a Royalty Roofing crown coloring station, “slay” the cornhole dragon, pick a lollipop and even a real-life knight and princess!
Did you know? Millard Days benefits a wide variety of projects and efforts in our area –
Its primary community improvement program has been the West Papio Trail project. $15,000 has been donated to the project since 1996, and the trail now spans from Millard Ave (at 138th) to Westchester Park (168th & Maple).
$10,000 was donated to Andersen Park, the baseball fields where the Millard Days carnival is held, for the installation of new playground equipment and a picnic shelter.
A portion of all funds raised also goes to scholarship opportunities for Millard South, Millard North, Millard West, and Skutt Catholic high school students.
In total, over $400,000 in grants have been made to programs in our area in the last 50 years. These grants have benefitted Boys/Girls State, Millard High School after prom parties, Special Olympics, Special Friends Prom, Civil Air Patrol, emergency equipment for the fire department, Millard area parks, Millard Senior Center, Boy Scouts of America, Millard school and athletic field improvements, and hundreds of other worthy causes.
Partnership & Community
Since our office moved to Millard, we’ve felt a special connection to the area. We love being a part of the community. Millard Days is a great tradition and it was great to be involved.
Partnership & Community are two of our core values at Royalty. We care deeply about our city and are constantly looking for ways we can get involved and give back. Being a part of this event is just one of the ways we did that this past year.
